Born in April 1986 in Austin, Texas, she is an American actress famous for roles in television series and movies. Her parents were David Heard and Paige Heard. In 2011, she appeared as the female lead, opposite her future husband Johnny Depp. The two appeared in the movie The Rum Diary, and from there on, they began a romantic relationship. In 2015, the two got married, but that was a short-lived marriage.
In 2016, Heard filed for divorce and obtained a restricting order against him. Their marriage and divorce were heavily publicized. Depp lost his job in The Pirates of the Caribbean because of the divorce.

When Did The Weight Gain Rumors Begin?
Amber Heard’s weight gain rumors began during the last year when she was spotted on the Spanish island of Mallorca.
After the scandalous court battle with Johnny Depp, the American actress remained a topic of interest in Hollywood. But she decided to stay away from the public for a while, moving to Spain to be with her daughter.
And then, in Spain, paparazzi captured photos of the famous actress. And in those photos, she appeared to have gained a little weight. But one thing is certain. Amber certainly looks at ease after the horrors of 2022, when she and Johnny had a heavily publicized court battle.
There is no sign of Amber coming back to the big screen.
Losing Her Job In Aquaman
While Amber doesn’t care much about her new looks, it seems like her apparent weight gain has some consequences.
Amber’s weight gain, according to some rumors and reports, was a violation of her contract for Aquaman. According to the reports, she was required to maintain her weight and stay fit.
She was cut from the project, but the rumors about weight gain and her firing were disposed of as well.
The whole Depp-Heard controversy coincided with the time her weight gain rumors surfaced. Apparently, her role as Mera in Aquaman was cut because of it.
To play Mera, Amber had to be the specified weight which was what defined fitness for her. But she failed to keep her signed contract. In the contract, according to reports, there was a contractual clause in her deal with Warner Bros restricting her from gaining weight.
Weight In The Courtroom
Her weight was also a topic of discussion in the courtroom during the battle with Johnny Depp.
Following comments made by her lawyer, the focus shifted to Depp and their weight and height. Her lawyers brought up the fact that she is “too tiny and Depp is 10 times bigger than her”. Yet, if you look at actual photos of the two, there is not much of a difference between them height-wise.
At the time, according to reports, Amber stood at 5 feet 7 inches, weighing 132 pounds. And Johnny’s height was 5 feet 9 inches, weighing around 172 pounds.
Her lawyer, Benjamin Rottenborn, questioned Depp, asking, “You’re a lot bigger than Amber, correct”, to which Depp replied, “I wouldn’t say this”.
Amber And Depp’s Court Battle
Amber and Johnny’s court battle began in 2016 when she filed for divorce after only 15 months of marriage. In the documents, she cited irreconcilable differences, but it soon turned into a legal battle after she obtained a restricting order against him. She accused Depp of domestic violence.
Johnny, on his part, denied the allegations and filed a defamation lawsuit against Heard in 2019, seeking $50 million in damages for alleged false accusations of abuse. The American actor claimed she fabricated the abuse allegations as part of a plan to advance her career and tarnish his reputation.
The legal battle involved multiple court hearings, with both parties presenting their evidence. On June 1, 2022, after nearly two days of deliberations, the jury found that Depp had proven all the elements of defamation for all three statements from Heard.
The Jury awarded him $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages. The latter, yet, was reduced to $350,000 due to a limit imposed by Virginia state law.
A Victim Of Body Shaming
After the latest pictures of Amber surfaced, where she is seen enjoying a run in Madrid, wearing a white T-back top and black comfortable leggings, the actress became a victim of body shaming.
Mr. Depp has plenty of fans, and they were quick to react. They couldn’t stop themselves from trolling the American actress.
There were comments like, “I think her body is evenly proportioned, but her face is showing her age now. It happens”. Another user wrote, “Yesterday she was quitting Hollywood today it said she is waiting for the right role for her movie. Her PR team is really working overtime. Now a million pictures of her now. Trying to keep her name in the news”.
And one even questions, “Why does she look like a dude”.
