The website provides several different deals, including cheap tickets to Israel, airline price mistakes, hot credit card offers, Amazon deals, and more.
Reader's Roadmap
What is it?
Dansdeals website was voted #1 miles and points blog by USA Today’s Readers. And there is a good reason for it. Dan has worked tirelessly to make his website great. He has personally earned over 100 million miles and points. Recognized as an expert in the travel industry, he is now trying to help others fly on a deal.
Known to always find a deal, he started as a kid by flipping baseball cards and reselling beanie babies as a pioneer on eBay. What sparked the creation of DansDeals was scoring free toilet paper for students in Brazil.
Yes, you read that right. He started the website in 2004 and has since it has grown into a popular daily destination for millions of followers who are trying to score deals on anything and everything, from travel to credit cards.
Here is a fun fact for you. Readers of the website have earned more than 25 billion miles and points and saved more than $5 billion on goods and travel deals. Does that sound good enough for you?
You can definitely make some use of those miles and points. And who doesn’t want to pay less for something good?
Meet the Team Behind it
We said Dan is the founder of the website. He now works together with JJ, another fellow sales searcher.
Dan lives in Cleveland with his wife Mimi and their four children. He earned a Rabbinical ordination and an MBA before turning his hobby into a career. Yes, he initially started the Dansdeals website as a hobby. Now, it is a full time career for him.
Dan has a passion for travel and loves to share his tips with readers.
JJ is the second half of the team, living in sunny Miami with his wife Basha and his family. He also received Rabbinical ordination and started Penn Law in 2013 when he joined the team.
These two work around the clock to bring you the best deals on the web, with bargains for household items, electronics, flight deals, and more.
With more than 100,000 daily views, DansDeals is definitely a website with a high trust rating.
Browsing the website
When you google the website, there will be four categories that Google delivers for browsing deals and products. Those are shopping deals, airfare deals, credit cards, and Israel flights.
Basically, those are the four main categories that Dan covers on his website.
What makes the site unique and that much greater is the constant article flow of tips, tricks, and ideas for how to travel and score more miles and points. That is Dan’s specialty.
There is even a dedicated category News and More, where you can find news, free stuff, Dan’s commentary, and more. Sounds good enough.
Join the Forum
One of the best things about Dans Deals is the forum. This is the place where you will find many people just like you, trying to find the best deal around.
There are different subforums, including general discussion, tech talk, destination guides, trip planning, trip reports, on the road, credit cards and finance, amazon deals, and there was even a Covid-19 related board.
So, do you want to know more about a certain restaurant in Israel? Or do you want to find which is the best American Express credit card option?
Talk with people who have been there before. The forum is a great place to share ideas and tips, but also find what you are looking for. If you like, you can even plan meetups with fellow forum members. That is one cool idea, right? Let’s be honest, we live in the world of digital nomads, so you might find a friend or a loved one through an online forum.
And of course, there is a search feature that allows you to browse the forum easily.
Last, but not least, if you are into politics, you can discuss that on DansDeals as well. For example, the community is largely invested into the Elon Musk versus Twitter news and reports. Politics is part of our life, and we cannot ignore it.
